Soccer's maiden victory
Dhaka, March 27: Soccer Club, Feni tasted their fist victory in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League with a 2-0 win over Rahmatganj at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Soccer Club dominated the scene in the first half with their skipper Lutfor Rahman Nayon watching his shot punched away by Rahmatganj goalie Shakil.
Rahmatganj midfielder Milon Pike’s head of the first half was punched to safety by Soccer club goalie Ariful Islam in the stoppage time.
Atangana Paulin, the tall Cameroonian midfielder of Soccer Club scored the first goal in the 77th minute off a square pass of compatriot Rowland (1-0).
Two minutes away from the time Rowland fed by midfielder Pintu Das beat Shakim at the far post with a low shot from the middle of the box (2-0).
Feni Soccer took their tally to five points from six matches while Rahmatganj remained on their previous five from six matches.
