Cox City beat Wari 2-1
Dhaka, April 10: Cox City Club defeated Wari Club 2-1 in the 2nd leg of the Premier Bank Bangladesh Championship League at the Cox’s Bazar Stadium on Tuesday.
With the win the hosts Cox City reached on the top of the point table for the first time with 15 points from 9 matches. Uttar Baridhara are following them just one point behind playing 10 matches.
On the other hand Wari Club moved one step down from second to third place and remained their previously earned 13 points from 10 matches.
Raju put Wari Club ahead in the 20th minute as the first half ended 1-0.
After the lemon break, the hosts returned into the match with a penalty goal by Sayed Karim in the 54th minute.
Hanif netted the winning goal for Cox Bazar outfit in the 71st minute.
