BJMC edge past Rahmatganj
Dhaka, April 13: Team BJMC beat Rahmatganj by 1-0 goal in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Team BJMC skipper Amit Khan Shuvro was taken to the hospital after he felt awkwardly while attempting a back volley and a possible hand fracture in the 15th minute.
Ismael Bangoura, the Guinean forward of Team BJMC was in an advantageous position but he stabbed the powerful grounder just wide of the side post from the middle of the box.
However the deadlock the broken in the 59th minute when acting captain Jean Jules Ikanga beat Rahmatganj goalie Shujon Chowdhury with a delicate touch from the top of the six yard box as substitute midfielder Abul Hossain curved a free kick from the left flank.
In the 75th minute Rahmatganj’s Nigerian forward Nche Francis lost the control at the top of the six yard box after Ugandan attacking partner Idris Kasirye sent him free with a head.
Team BJMC was reduced to the ten men in the 89th minute when defender Saiful Islam Saif was sent of with a direct red card for a off the ball foul on Milon Pike.
With the win Team BJMC took their tally to 16 points form nine matches while Rahmatganj remained at the bottom with 6 points from nine matches.
