Brothers beat Farashganj
Dhaka, June 13: Brothers Union
beat Farashganj SC 1-0 in the Grameenphone Bangladesh League at the Bangabandhu
National Stadium on Wednesday.
With the win Brothers union took
their tally to 18 points from 17 matches while Farashganj remained their
previous earning of 17 points from the same number of matches.
Foreign recruit Olalekin Joshua
scored the winning goal in the 15th minute. Midfielder Shipon fed
the ball to forward Olalekan Joshua by a header off Kingsley’s chip. The
Nigerian forward made no mistake to send the ball into the net from close
range.
Farashganj got a chance to
equalize in the 52nd minute but Akbar Hossain Ridon shot from just
outside of the box went inches over the crosspiece.
