MSC outplay Soccer
Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited outplayed Feni Soccer Club 3-1 in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National stadium on Friday.
With the win, Mohammedan took their tally to 25 points from 17 matches while Soccer Club remained on 16 points from same number of matches.
Mohammedan went ahead in the 49th minute when midfielder Habibur Rahman Shohag’s free kick hit the back of the net after beating Feni goalie Piaruzzaman Piru.
Defender Rajani Kanta Barman doubled the lead with a curved shot from the edge of the box off a Nigerian midfielder Augustin Chizoba header from the left flank.
Soccer club reduced the margin in the 58th minute when their Cameroonian forward Atangana Paulin shot from the box beat Mohammedan custodian Titumir Chowdhury Titu off a Sharhan Howlader cross from the right flank.
Midfielder Md Rony sealed the victory for the Black and Whites in the 69th minute by a fierce shot from the box off a through pass from Nigerian midfielder Augustin Chizoba.
In the first leg Soccer Club beat Mohammedan SC 2-1 at the Feni Stadium.
