MSC defeat Rahmatganj
Dhaka, June 19: Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Rahmatganj MFS 3-0 in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
The win saw Mohammedan take their tally to 28 points from 18 matches while Rahmatganj remained at the bottom with 9 pointsplayed same number of outings.
The traditional Black and Whites struck inthe early and got the result as their striker Md Rony tapped a ball into thenet on a cutback of Nigerian forward Nduka Uwa in the 3rd minute. (1-0)
Mohammedan lead could have doubled in the 25thminute but Rony squandered the chance when he saw his straight shot fisted awayby Rahmatgaanj goalie M. N. Shakil.
Mohammedan
was disappointed again when striker Rony’s shot unfortunately hit crosspiece in
the 68th minute.
Mohammedan doubled the lead in the 84thminute when Nigerian forward Nduka Uwa’ header beat goalie Shakil off defenderRajani Kanta Barman cross from the left flank. (2-0)
The Nigerian forward Nduka scored hissecond and third for Mohammedan in the stoppage time by a fierce shot from thebox on a through pass of substitute Zambian midfielder Chipungu Musukuma. (3-0)
Rahmatganj only got their lone chance in the 39th minute but their Ugandan striker Idris Kasirye’s shot wide of the left post.
