Jordan beat BD 3-0
Dhaka, June 20: Jordan beat Bangladesh 3 -0 in the AFC U-22 Championship group D qualifiers at the Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.
With three consecutive defeats Bangladesh with one match against Yemen crashed out of the meet. Jodran registered their second win in as many matches.
In the 9th minute Jordanian forward Ahmad Saleh unleashed a fierce drive but Sobuj Das Roghu punched it for a corner.
In the very next minute midfielder Oday Zahran’s cut back almost landed inside the net as it deflected off the feet of defender Shawkat Russell but it missed the side post.
Jordan took the lead in the 22nd minute as Khalil Zayed headed a Oday Zahran cross in the far post net from the left of the six yard box (1-0).
The lead was doubled in the 29th minute by Mahmod Zatara who tapped a low cross of Ibrahim Daldoom that came in from the left flank (2-0).
Roghu saved the team from another goal in the 32nd minute as he dived into the feet of Zatara in the middle of the box.
Substitute midfielder Jamal Hossain in the 65th minute shot a 20 yarder but Jordan goalie Abu Mosameh was in the right position to take the ball in his gloves.
Zatara added his second in the 75th minute as he beat Roghu in the far post net off a free kick of Ahmad Saleh (3-0)
Yeamin Munna in the 83rd minute found an opportunity as he got the ball in the middle of the box after Emon Babu’s corner deflected off a Jordanian defdender but Yemain blasted the ball over.
Bangladesh meet Yemen on June 24th.
