Nat'l Women's team win 4-0
Dhaka, August 26: Bangladesh National Women’s
Football Team registered a 4-0 victory over their U-19 rivals in a practice match
at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Played under the light of getting tuned for the upcoming challenges
of the SAFF Women’s Championship at Colombo
next month, the national had to toil hard to stamp their authority.
Midfielder Suin Nu Pru Marma broke the deadlock in the 32nd
minute after winger Mirona set her free with a back pass and Sui Nu scored with
an angular shot (1-0).
Ace forward Sabina Khatun scored the second with a solo
effort in the 47th minute beating U-19 goalie Rawshan with a low
shot (2-0).
Aung Mra Ching Marma scored the third in the 64th
minute after the forward took control of a long ball provided by midfielder
Surovi Akhter Eti and hit a low shot in the far post (3-0).
U-19 forward Munmun hit the senior teams crosspiece in the
55th minute.
Sabina scored the last in the 70th minute as she
went past her marker with a neat through pass of Mirona and placed the ball in
the near post (4-0).
Coach Golam Rabbani Choton admitted the poor works of her
forwards however the passing pleased him. “As it was the first match the
forwards were little rusty and they will take lessoans from the mistakes, I saw
some god long passes and the distribution was
Ok” said Choton.
The teams will play another two practice matches before departure on September 4th.
