Dhaka, September 9: Bangladesh Football Federation’s Development
Committee Chairman Badal Roy hopes the final training
program of U-14 and U-18 booter’s will start in Syhet BKSP at the end of the
October.
The first level of their talent hunt
program (U-14 and U-18) had already been started at Panchari Upazila in Khagrachari district from September first and will take place through out the
country respectively.
The program will run in four steps/Levels. First
level starts from Upazila level where five players will chose
for second level from both age group. Second stage will take
place in District Level from 20-28 September and third in Division Level
from 1-10 October. Fourth or final is National level where total 120
players, 60 from both age group, will call in the trial from 20-28
October. Finally 60 players will select from the trail and will send
them to Sylhet BKSP for long time coaching under FIFA’s coaching staff.
BFF Vice president Badol Roy disclosed these
in a press meet at BFF House on Sunday. “Our main goal is to develop national
football. We have already taken the responsibility in Sylhet BKSP. We also have
started U-14 and U-18 talent hunt in the Upazila level and hope to conclude it
before Eid-ul-Azha” said Badal.
The first level will continue until
September 15th. Local District Football Association and BFF coaching
staffs are taking care of these selections or trial. The second level is
expected to start from September 20.
“Our coaches are following the FIFA
instruction for selecting booters. FIFA will send a coaching staff for the
final selection for the academy.
BFF Vice President Arif Khan Joy also hoped
the program, firstly introduce in football arena, will help to
find out new star in Bangladesh Football. “This is the first time BFF start talent hunt program. I hope new players will come out
through the program.” said Joy.
BFF are providing some grants (money, kits
and football) to the DFA to run the program. BFF Member Fazlur Rahman Babul, Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu, Sattyajit Das Rupu, Rakibul Islam and BFF acting General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag were also present on the occasion.
