BD draws with Nepal
Dhaka, September 20: Bangladesh played a 1-1 draw against Nepal in the international friendly at Dasartath Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal on Thursday.
Nepal started brightly and in the 8th minute Bhola Silwal gave a neat cross to Bharat Khawas whose header was picked by goalie Mostak.
Nepal had another good chance in the 12th minute but Bharat Khawas failed to score off a one to one situation with Mostak.
Midfielder Pranotosh unleashed a thunderbolt in the 41st minute but his effort was brilliant saved by Nepal goalie Kiran Chemjong.
However Zahid Hossain put Bangladesh ahead in the 43rd minute with a powerful free kick from outside of the box. (1-0)
Three minutes after the break Zahid Hossain was able to put a ball past Kiron Chemjong but defender Robin Shreshta cleared the ball from the goal line.
Bhola Silwal restored the parity in the 61st minute after goalie Mostak lost the grip of a Biraj Mahrajan cross and Silwal blasted home with a cracker. (1-1)
In the 82nd minute substitute forward Mithun Chowdhury chipped the ball over Kiron Chemjog but the ball missed the target narrowly.
