Dhaka, October 15: Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra meets Soccer Club, Feni in the first quarterfinal of the Grameenphone Federation Cup at 3:30 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. In the second quarterfinal of the day Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd faces last year’s runners-up Team BJMC at the same venue at 6:30 pm. Shiekh Russell, who formed a strong team will rely on their local and foreign firepower while Feni Soccer will try to stand firm with their teamwork. Russell has a strong offence with the names of Zahid Hasan Emily, Mithun Chowdhury, and their foreign recruits- Mohammed AbouKacem (Forward, Morocco) Tarik el Janaby (Midfielder Morrcco) and Sony Norde (Midfield,Haiti). Sony Norde and Emily is expected to lead the Russell front up ahead. The second quarterfinal is expected to be a competitive one as both Mohammedan and BJMC both have the arsenal to challenge each other. It will also a tactical duel of two coaches Saiful Bari Titu of Mohammedan and Zakaria Babu of Team BJMC. However Titu will miss the service of his talented winger Sohel Rana who is out of the match with two yellow cards. Mohammedan will field Mostafa of Ghana and expects to field forward Morrision, another Ghanaian if his international clearance arrives. BJMC has Henry Chindo upfront and experienced names like Aminul Haque in the goal and Amit Khan Shuvro at the center of the defence.
