Dhanmondi Club will face Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakkra in the second
semi final of the Grameenphone Federation Cup football at the Bangabandhu
National Stadium at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Both team met each other in the group stage
in this tournament where Jamal beat Muktijoddha 3-0 in the last match of group
‘B’. Mike Otajareri netted two and Sunday Chizoba scored one goal for Russell. However both the teams vowed to start a new
match with new vision and were focused to get into the final. The coaches of
both the teams were asking not to repeat the mistakes they have committed in
the quarterfinals. Jamal coach Joseph Afussie is very
confident about the win as they beat Muktijoddha easily in the group phase. Our
boys are very confident for winning the match. We beat them 3-0 in the group
match and we also beat Abahani 2-1 in the quarter final. We are doing well
continuously. I hope boys will move final.” On the other hand Muktijoddha coach
Shafiqul Islam Manik also hopeful for win. “ On the papers they (Jamal) are
better than us. They are doing well every match. But every team has bad day and
good day. So, we are waiting for their bad day and our good day.” said Manik.
