BFF Junior to fly for Nepal Saturday
Dhaka, November 02: BFF Junior XI will fly for Nepal on
Saturday morning to play in the 2nd Safal Pokhara Gold Cup Football, which has already
kicked off.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) declared a 25-member contingent
comprising 20 footballers and five officials for the tour on Thursday.
Bangladesh will play directly in the second round against the winner
of the match between McDowells RCT and Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club on Tuesday
next.
National coach Saiful Bari Titu was hopeful for a good performance in
the Safal Pokhara Gold Cup Football, “ I hope the team will do better in the
tournament. It is their chance to show their worth and find place in the senior
team.” Said the head coach.
“The main focus will be preparing the team for the SAFF U-23, which
will be held in Colombo in December and the players have the message in their
heads. This tournament is basically a test for the players,” Titu added.
