Dhaka, November 14: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club made a winning start in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League with a 3-2 win over Tem BJMC at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
Sunday Chizoba, the Nigerian forward of Sheikh Jamal scored two goals.
Sunday Chizoba scored the first goal in the 17th minute as he took control of an Alamgir Kabir Rana corner in the left edge of the box and hit the near post net with a cracking shot (1-0).
Mike Otojareri doubled the lead in the 27th minute and this time Sunday Chizoba was the provider. Making his way through the left flank Sunday send a short chip to Mike who turned and shot past Aminul (2-0)
Two minutes after the break Sunday Chizoba scored the third for Sheikh Jamal. The Nigerian curled a free kick from the outside of the box and ball entered the near post (3-0).
But Team BJMC hit back in the 52nd minute with a penalty. Defender Raihan Hasan fouled BJMC’s Nigerian forward Ajagun Abdul Rasheed in the box and Ismael Bangoura converted the spot kick (3-1)
Nigerian forward of Team BJMC Elita Kingsley reduced the margin in the 57th minute as headed a right flank cross of Kasto Kumar Bosh into the net (3-2)
