Bangladesh-Malaysia friendly on Tuesday
Dhaka, November 19: Bangladesh will take on Malaysia in a
FIFA international friendly at Shah Alam Stadium, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Till date, Bangladesh has locked horns with Malaysia for six
times and has won only one match by 2-1 margin in the 1982 Asian Games. The
other five matches were won by Malaysia. Bangladesh is meeting Malaysia after a
span of 15 years as the last time the two teams met each other was in the year
1997 and it was a World Cup qualifier.
It will be Malaysia’s last warm up match before they start
their AFF Suzuki Cup campaign next week. On November 7th Malaysia lost to
Thailand 2-0 and on November 14th Malaysia drew 1-1 with Hong Kong.
Bangladesh national team were scheduled to reach the
Malaysian capital on Monday night and the team went through a practice session
at the Beckham Football Academy, Bangkok on Monday morning.
