Dhaka, December 22: Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited edged past Arambagh Krira Sangha 1-0 in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday. Mohammedan dominated the first half and managed to score the all important goal through their Ghanaian striker Osei Morrison. Osei Morrison scored the winning goal for Moahmmedan in the 16th minute. The Ghanaian striker header from the box hit the far post following a cross of his compatriot forward Mostapha Ibrahim from the right flank. The lead could have been doubled but Morrison failed to connect a cross of Shariful Islam from the right flank in the 23rd minute of the match. After the break, Arambagh tried to level the match and got an opportunity in the 69th minute but winger Khaled Ahmed spoiled it. Ugandan striker Idris Kasirye put a square pass to unmarked Khaled who took more time and his shot went outside the bar. Moahammedan now have 10 points from 5 matches while Arambagh have 3 points from the same number of matches.
