Dhaka, January 7: Lodewijk de Kruif, the Dutch coach arrived at Dhaka to take over the charges of the Bangladesh national team on Monday. He was accompanied by Rene Koster who will be taking over the responsibility of the BFF Academy. The coach was in a jovial mood. “ I’m very happy, we are very happy that we are here and to talk those people who invited us. We are very happy to see the country of course, have a good impression” said the Dutch man. The coach revealed that he has followed Bangladesh football. “We have internet now. You can find everything. You know that I was a coach in Nigeria. I saw that three of my ex players are playing in the league. They are Chinedu Ezimorah of Sheikh Jamal, Damien Ude Chigozie of Mohammedan and Joseph Ozurumba of Muktijoddha. We came here to help you people to improve the football in Bangladesh” said di Kruif. His philosophy of the game was also revealed by him. “Nice attacking football, building up from behind, good football from behind until the striker, to put pressure and get the ball very early. You know dutch football has always three strikers, that is very attractive, that is what we want to do. But we don’t know what we see and what we find over here, first we have to look at the quality of the players and mentality as well and then we work from there,” concluded Lodewijk de Kruif.
