Dhaka, January 30: Arambagh stunned Muktjoddha 1-0 in their first match of second leg of the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday. Muktijoddha was the first to attack in the 19th minute when Brazilian Tyson Silva curved a free kick from the top of the box but Arambagh goalie Mitul Hasan dived to his left to block the ball, the ball however rolled out of his grip but Muktijoddha forward Yusuf tapped the ball straight to Mitul Hasan Arambagh scored the winner in the 23rd minute when midfielder Sabuj Kumar Biswas headed a Khaled Ahmed cross into the far post from the middle of the box (1-0). Muktijoddha failed to score the equalizer in the remaining minutes and in the 75th minute Benjamin Eleta, the Nigerian defender failed to place an Emmanuel Dammy free kick in the net from a close range. In the stoppage time Dammy shot over the crosspiece from the middle of the box. Muktijoddha has 14 points from nine matches while Arambagh who also have played nine took their tally to six points.
