Dhaka, February 14: Dhaka Mohammedan and Team BJMC played out a 1-1 draw in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. Team BJMC was first to attack their opponents defence in the 15th minute when Guinean forward Ismael Bangoura ran down the left flank and sent a low cross to Elita Kingsley, Mohammedans Nigerian defender defender Dauda Kazeem’s timely interference saved his team from the possible disaster. In the 25th minute BJMC midfielder Abul Hossain’s shot on an Omar Faruk Babu corner was saved by a diving Mohammedan goalie Mamun Khan. Mohammedan’s Ghanaian forward Osie Morrison failed to head a Shariful Islam cross into the BJMC net from a close range in the 34 minute. BJMC took the lead in the 45th minute when Ismael Bangoura again ran down the left flank and cut the ball back to Elita Kingsley who sent the ball into the net from the middle of the box (1-0). Osie Morrison scored the equalizer in theh 88th minute after Nigerian midfielder Udeh Damien flew in a cross from the right flank and Morrison beat BJMC goalie Himel with a upward drive from a close range (1-1) Mohammedan took their tally to 17 points and BJMC earned 16 with both the team playing 12 matches.
