Dhaka, February 19 : Dhaka Mohammedan beat Arambagh 1-0 in the second match of the Grameemphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. Osie Morrison, the Ghanaian forward of Mohammedan wasted a penalty in the 11th minute as he shot over the crosspiece but winger Mobarak Hossain Bhuiyan put the black and white ahead in the 20th minute. Taking a through pass of Nigerian midfielder Sesan Idowu Mobarak placed the ball into the far post with an angular placing shot. In the 63rd minute Mohammedan defender Yasin Khan brought Arambagh midfielder Khaled Ahmed down in the penalty box but Nigerian forward Kester Akon’s spot kick was punched to safety by Mohammedan goalie Mamun Khan. Mohammedan took their tally to 20 points from 13 matches while Arambagh remained on their previous collection of six points from 13 matches.
