Dhaka, February 27: BFF President Kazi Md Salahuddin called professional clubs to come forward to develop Bangladesh football by setting up their own football academies on Wednesday.
In the press meet of Sk. Jamal Dhanmondi Football Academy at a local hotel, the BFF President said. “I feel proud and ambitious today that a Bangladesh Premier League club has started its own football academy. I do thank them very much” said Salahuddin ”Professional football clubs are the heart of football. Now football is a big business. If you look around the world you can see it. He clarified his stance about foreign footballers who are playing in the league. “We bring foreign footballer for developing our standard. If your local football level is low, you have to bring foreign players to raise the standard of the league. If you see in the European leagues -English Premier, Spain La Liga.
