Dhaka, March 5: Bangladesh national team will not let any complacency
spoil their focus of registering a comprehensive victory over Northern Mariana
Islands in their last match of the AFC Challenge Cup group D qualifiers at the
Dasharatha Stadium, Kathmandu at 3: 00 pm on Wednesday. Bangladesh went through their practice session at the Army Training
Center, Lallitpur on Tuesday.BFF President Kazi Md.
Salahuddin, Vice President &
Chairman of National Team Committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Vice President Tabith Awal, Monzur Kader,
member DFA & League Committee
were present at the practice session. Salahuddin praised Bangladesh’s effort against Nepal. “You played well
yesterday. I think this is the new beginning of the Bangladesh National Team”
commented Salahuddin. Head coach Lodewijk de Kruif wanted to utilize the superb victory
against Nepal as a motivating factor.
" The win against Nepal was a motivating factor for the players. In
front of a 20 thousand hostile crowd my players played really well." “Northern Mariana Islands may be is not a strong opponent but we want
to play our natural game and win the match” said the Dutch man. Replying to a query about is Bangladesh will be the next force in
South Asia?" The coach replied "We need time to build this team, if
we get time Bangladesh will be the next force in this region." Northern Mariana Coach Mr. Koo Luam Khen told that "We know
Bangladesh is very strong team. Tomorrows match we will try to strengthen our
defense and hope for a good result."
