Dhaka, March 17: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club thrashed Soccer Club
Feni 6-3 in the third match of the ATN Bangla Independence Cup Football Final round
at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday. Nigerian forward Alfred Emoefe slammed the first hattrick of the
tournament and his compatriots Sunday Chizoba struck twice for Sheikh Jamal.. Liberian striker Anthony Pele Doe put Soccer Club ahead in the 11th
minute with a solo effort. The Liberian long ranger shot hit the back of the
net after deflecting off defender Ariful Islam’s leg. (1-0) Two minute later Nigerian forward Alfred Emoefe leveled the score with
a header off a corner of Md. Shakil Ahmed from the right flag. (1-1) Sheikh Jamal went ahead through their Nigerian forward Alfred Emoefe in
the 25th minute. The Nigerian again headed home on a cross of winger
Md. Shakil. (2-1) Sunday Chizoba netted the third for jamal in the 39th
minute by a placing shot after Nigerian midfielder Ikecukwu Okemmiri’s back chip
paved the way for him in the middle of the box. (3-1) Winger Alamgir Kabir Rana added another goal for Jamal in the 54th
minute. Nigerian striker Sunday Chizoba put a square pass to Alamgir Kabir whose
fierce shot hit roof of the net. (4-1).
Akber Hossain Ridon reduced the margin in the 55th minute
with a placing shot on a cross off Senegalease defender Mansour Badjo. (4-2) Alfred Emoefe completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute. (5-2)
Sunday scored sixth goal for Jamal in the 65th minute. (6-2) Beninese forward Wassiou Oladikpikpo scored the third for the losers in
the 87th minute. (6-3)
