Dhaka, May 21: Thailand defeated Bangladesh by 7-0 goals in the second match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup group B qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
NIsa Romyen slammed the first hat-trick of the meet to steer her team.
Thailand took the lead in the 16th minute as midfielder R. Thonngsombut tapped the ball in as it slipped off the gloves of Bangladesh goalie Sabina Khatun (1-0).
In the very next minute captain Naphat Seesraum doubled the lead with a 20 yarder (2-0)
Nisa Romyen,, the Thailand midfielder struck the third with another long ranger in the 28th minute( 3-0)
In the 44th minute Nisa added her second with a neat placing over Bangladesh goalie Sabina (4-0)
Substitute forward Boontan Annonghat hit the fifth in the 52nd minute. Her powerful shot from the left edge of box gave Sabina no chance (5-0)
In the 64th minute Thailand forward Sunisa Srangthong scored the sixth with a close range finish (6-0)
The seventh goal was scored by Boontan Annonghat in the 79th minute 7-0).
Nisa Romyen completed her hat-trick in the 87th minute (8-0). In the stoppage time Nisa added her fourth (9-0)
Bangladesh meet Iran in their second match on Thursday.
