Dhaka, May 22: In a crucial match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup group B qualifiers, top ranked Thailand lock horns with spirited Philippines at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 4:00 pm on Thursday.
The interesting 3-6-1 formation of the Philippines can disrupt the free flowing game of the Thai footballers. However, the Thai players are sound technically and tactically and may shrug off the challenges with their control and possession. Philippines routed Iran 6-0 in their opening match, while Thailand drubbed Bangladesh 9-0 on the first day.
Bangladesh and Iran will lock horns in their second match of the group B qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 7 pm.
"We have watched the video clips of the first two games. We are trying to rectify our mistakes we have done in the first match. Hopefully, we will leave the field with at least a point against Iran," said Bangladesh coach Syedn Golam Jilani.
