Dhaka, May 24: Bangladesh will face Philippines in the last match of the AFC Women's Asian Cup group B qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 7:00 pm on Saturday. In the first match of the day Thailand will lock horns with Iran at 4:00 pm at the same venue.
“We had a lot of positives against Iran and such a performance can boost the team towards continuing the improvement. We have to keep it in mind that Philippines are a mighty opponent to our standards and we will look forward to concede lesser goals and continue our counter attacking strategy,” said Bangladesh coach Syed Golam Jilani.
Thailand tops the group with six points, both Philippines and Iran have three points while the hosts are yet to open the account.
