SAFF U-16: BD beat Lanka
Dhaka, July 23: Bangladesh
moved to the semifinals beating Sri
Lanka 3-1 in the SAFF U-16 Championship at
the Nepal Army Ground on Tuesday.
Tutul scored a brace in the 28th, 57th
minute and Torikul scored one in the 81st minute for Bangladesh while Niresh netted lonely in the 43rd
minute for Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh went ahead through their Tutul in the 28th
minute as the forward opened the scored from a free kick from the edged of the
box. (1-0)
Sri Lank came back game in the 43rd
minute when Niresh’s long ranger went straight to the post. (1-1)
Bangladesh again took the lead in the 57th
minute. The goal machine Tutul scored his second with a lovely header (2-1)
Torikul Islam sealed the victory for Bangladesh as
his left footer beat the opponent custodian in the 81st minute. (3-1)
