Mamun expresses satisfaction
Dhaka, August 04: Bangladesh football team captain Mamunul Islam expressed satisfaction over the
performance of the national team in the tour of Thailand after returning home on
Sunday.
Bangladesh lost to Osotspa Sarabury FC 2-1 and won over Thai Youth team 1-0 in
the second match. Mamun was satisfied with
the team’s efforts. “I am satisfied with over all performance of our boys. Though,
it would have been better if we played two more matches there.” said the captain.
Mamun thought that every thing was
important there. “Our training, matches everythings were important there
because these helped us to make coordination, understanding among the booters
outside the country. We learned how we played here and how to play in the
future. It also helped us to improve our match temperament.” Mamun added.
In the first match Bangladesh
conceded an early goal and it created some frustration among the boys. “After
conceding first goal, boys got a little
upset but we tried to come back quickly. Our strikers missed a couple of
good chance and we lost.”
Bangladesh team scored about 15 goals in the home but they were able to score 2 goals in the same number of matches. “In the second match we could win 5/6 goals but we didn’t due to poor finishing. We found some problems in our finishing line. We have to work on it now.”
Bangladesh will play their next practice match against Pakistan August 16.
