BD to face Iraq in AFC U-19 qualifiers
Dhaka, October 07: Bangladesh will play against hosts Iraq in the second match of Group C of AFC U-19 Championship 2014 qualifiers at the Al-Hareeri Stadium on Tuesday.
The head coach of Bangladesh team Rene Koster was very realistic about his opponent in the morning. “We have tough opponents in this group. Our team had 2 month camp in the BFF house and we played some local practice matches. We saw the match videos of IRAQ, Kuwait and Pakistan of the last edition of AFC U-19 championship and they are pretty good. So we want to play our best against them. And off course in the age level tournament you should more concern about the development not result.” told the coach at a press conference on Monday.
But Iraqi Coach was very confident of winning. “We have some good teams in this group but we will try to continue our winning race in this competition as we are champion in the last edition. So Tomorrows match is very important for us and we want start the tournament having full point.” said the coach in the pre-match.
In the opening match of the day Kuwait will meet Pakistan at the same stadium.
