BJMC held 2-2 by Police
Dhaka, November 22: Team BJMC drew 2-2 with Bangladesh Police in the Walton Federation Cup at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Team BKMC took the lead in the 17th minute when forward Mehedi Hasan Topu placed a rebound in the far post net of Bangladesh Police . The ball fell into Topu’s feet after forward Aminur Rahman Sajib’s header on a cross of Felix was blocked by Police goalie Azam Khan but the ball slipped out of his gloves (1-0).
Police equalized in the 76th minute as forward Amirul took control of a long ball of defender Sarowar Hossian Rony and placed the ball in the far post net of Arifuzzaman Himel (1-1).
Police stunned BJMC in the 88th minute when Kabirul Islam scored with a low shot after his teammate Johurul and BJMC goalie Himel collided at the top of box and unmarked Kobirul put the ball into the empty net (2-1).
However BJMC saved them from the defeat as Topu scored his second in the injury time taking control of an Ali Akbar Kanon cross and placed the ball past Azam Khan, the Police goalie (2-2).
