BJMC pip Soccer 2-1
Dhaka, January 2: Team BJMC started their Bangladesh Premier League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Soccer Club, Feni at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
In the 9th minute BJMC’s Guinean forward Ismael Bangoura’s through pass picked up by Aminur Rahman Sajb who missed the side post on a one-to-one situation.
BJMC left back Shahanur Rahman Rony’s cross placed by winger Shakil Ahmed, but the ball hit the crosspiece in the 17th minute.
BJMC’s Nigerian midfielder Samason Iliayasu saw his shot miss the crosspiece by a few inches in the 40th minute of the match.
Three minutes after the interval Aminur Rahman Sajib carrying a through pass scored the first goal with a low shot from the middle of the box (1-0).
Nigerian midfielder Uche Felix doubled the margin in the 57th minute after Shakil Ahmed’s long ball helped Felix to break the off-side trap, Felix beat Feni goalie Uzzal in the far post (2-0).
Beninease forward Wassiou Okalawon reduced the margin in the 86th minute with a header off a cross from defender Akramuzzaman Liton from the right. (2-1)
