Jamal too hot for Brothers
Dhaka, January 8: Sheikh Jamal registered their second victory in the Bangladesh Premier League beating Brothers Union by 4-1 goals at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
In the 18th minute Jamal’s Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington put his team ahead by placing a low cross of compatriot Okemeri in the near post (1-0).
Brothers restored the parity in the 28th minute when Jamal defender Raihan fouled Brothers Union’s Nigerian forward Nche Francis in the middle of the box and Ghanaian defender Issah Youssef scored from the penalty ( 1-1).
Darlington however put his team again in the lead in the 33rd minute when Darlington went past the Brothers defence with a through pass of Sohel Rana and scored with an angular placing shot (2-1).
Darlington completed the second hat-trick of the league 35th minute as he received a square pass of Haitian forward Wedson in the middle of the box and placed the ball past Brothers goalie Sabuj Das Roghu (3-1).
Haitian forward Wedson entered the scorers list in the 81st minute as he scored with a fierce volley after Darlington set him free with a soft header (4-1).
