Jamal overpower Feni Soccer
Dhaka, January 13: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd moved to the top of the table of Bangladesh Premier League with a 4-2 win over Feni Soccer at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
In the 28th minute winger Mobarak put Jamal ahead as he headed a low corner of Wedson in the near post (1-0).
In the added time of first half Feni Soccer defender Akramuzzman Liton fouled onrushing Haitian forward Wedson in the right edge of the box and Wedson stepped up to score the second goal from the penalty (2-0)
Nigerian striker Emeka Darlington scored the third in the 61st minute when Feni Soccer goalie Md. Nehal came out of his position to clear a regulation ball but lost his balance allowing Darlington to snatch the ball and place it in the far post (3-0)
Nigerian midfielder Okemeri put Jamal on a four goal lead in the 70th minute as his quickly taken 20 yarder beat Md. Nehal in the far post (4-0)
Substitute forward Motiur Rahman reduced the margin in the 81st minute when his back header on a corner of Alauddin beat Jamal goalie Maksudur Rahman in the near post (4-1)
In the last minute Azmal Hossian Bidyut added the second of Feni Soccer off a penalty (4-2)
Jamal has nine points from three matches while Feni Soccer has one point from same number of matches.
