Training camp for Plan U-15 girls
Dhaka, February 22: With a view to groom the stars
of the future the Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Football Federation will host a
training camp for 210 players selected from the Plan Bangladesh U-15 Girls
Football Championship that will start from Sunday for developing women football
in the country.
The five day camp will be held in seven zones-Rajshahi, Sylhet,
Kushtia, Nilphamari, Faridpur, Rangamati and Barishal, is comprised of 30
players each.
The girls of the camp will not only learn
football but also gain experience of different issues-gender discrimination,
domestic violence and leadership etc. from Plan Bangladesh experts.
In the 8th March the girls will
observe World Women’s Day together after completing 5 days training.
After finishing the camp each venue will see
the formation of two teams and the teams will play a knockout based tournament and
the final match will be held at the Bangabandhu Stadium Dhaka on 28th
March. BFF Women wings deputy chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron disclosed these in a
press meet at the BFF House on Saturday.
BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag and
other women wings officials also present in the occasion.
