Bangladesh ready to face India
Dhaka, March 4: Bangladesh will be looking forward to fight till the end against India in the FIFA International Friendly at Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
Bangladesh coach Lodewijk de Kruif conducted the final practice session yesterday evening at the venue and all the players are fit. In the official press conference on Tuesday de Kruif said the team is raring to go against the hosts. “It’s a match of prestige and pressure, after the SAFF Championship it’s more than six months and the national team has not played any matches, we look forward to put a good show” said de Kruif.
De Kruif added that he will mix the youth and experience. “The team is new as a number of players have earned their first call, India is a strong team and they are the hosts, we have to put a good show in the middle and commit less mistakes” said the Dutch who will decide the playing eleven in the match day morning.
Team manager Iqbal Hossain added that though it’s a bit hot in the daytime the temperature falls in the evening, the condition is not a tough one for the footballers.
Indian coach Kim Woevermans said they have taken the match seriously and will be firing all cylinders in the prestige match.
Bangladesh drew 1-1 with India in the last encounter between the teams at the SAFF Championship at Nepal.
