Dhaka, April 23: Abahani limited returned to
winning spree beating Soccer club Feni 2-1 in the 2nd phase match of
Nitol Tata Bangladesh
Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
Midfielder Jamal Hossain put Abahani ahead in the 22nd
minute. Mustapha cut the ball back to Ghanaian play maker Awudu Ibrahim who passed forward to Jamal
inside the box and the midfielder placed home past Nehal to take the lead.

Mustapha missed a chance in the 38th minute
when the Sierra Leon forward sent the ball over the bar from the edge of the
six-yard box following a low cross of Meshu.
Landing Darboe restored the parity from a
brilliant free kick in the 42nd minute. (1-1)
Abahani goalie Shaidul Alam produced a lovely
save in the 73rd minute to deny Mathew Mendy’s header.
Substitute winger Towhidul Alam sealed the
victory in the 83rd minute. Portuguese forward Soares entered into the penalty
area from the right flank before passing the ball for unmarked Towhidul who
placed home into an empty net. (2-1)
In the first Phase Abahani were held by Soccer
Club 0-0.
After this win, Abahani earned 22 points from
11 matches while Soccer Club remained with 7 points from the same number of
matches.
