Jamal Dhanmondi Club mauled Team BJMC by 6-2 goals in the second phase of Nitol
Tata Bangladesh
Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National on Monday.
Jamal was held by BJMC 2-2 in the first phase.
Sheikh Jamal took the lead in the 9th
minute through their Haitian forward Wedson Anselme. Midfielder Mamunul Islam
delivered a long ball to Wedson who entered into the box and scored with an
angular shot. (1-0)
Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington doubled the
lead in the 13th minute when his placing shot hit the middle of the
net on a square pass off Wedson from the right. (2-0)
Another Haitian Sony Norde added the third for Jamal in the 28th
minute with a placing shot the ball fed by his compatriot Wedson Anselme. (3-0)
Darlington netted his second and fourth for Jamal in the
40th minute. After intercepting a ball due to a misunderstanding
between defenders Khan Md. Tara and Redwad Bin Rakin, the Nigerian hitman moved into the box and beat goalie Ariful
Islam with a grounder. (4-0)
Jamal’s fifth goal came from penalty in the 44th
minute of the match. BJMC defender Saiful Islam brought down Sony Norde in the
danger area and referee Mizanur Rahman whistled for penalty. Nigerian defender
Ali Abdullahi converted the spot kick. (5-0)
BJMC reduced the margin in the 59th
minute when their Nigerian midfielder Uche Felix headed home on a free kick of
midfielder Ali Akber Kanon. (5-1)
Substitute midfielder Sohel Rana scored sixth
for Jamal in the 88th minute with a left footed grounder on pass off
Sony Norde.
Nigerian midfielder Samson Illiasu netted
second goal for BJMC with long range shot in the injury time.
With this win Jamal earned 37 points from 15
matches while BJMC remained their previous earning of 15 points from the same
number of matches.
