MSC beat Soccer
Dhaka, May 27: Mohammedan Sporting Club beat
Soccer Club Feni 3-2 in the 2nd phase of Nitol Tata Bangladesh
Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Defender Mathew Mendy put Soccer Club ahead
with a solo effort in the 21st minute of the match. The Gambian
snatched a ball from midfield and dodged past three opponent defenders and sent
the ball into the net with an angular shot. (1-0)
Mohammedan restored the parity in the 37th
minute through their Nigerian defender Henry Felix. Nigerian midfielder Damian
Chigozie curved a corner from the right flag and Nigerian defender Henry Felix
headed the ball in the far post. (1-1)
Defender Tapu Barman extended the lead for Mohammedan in the 50th
minute with a nice curved shot from the right side. (2-1)
Forward Jahid Hasan Ameli scored third for
Mohammedan in the 73rd minute. Forward Wahed sent a square pass to
unmark Ameli who placed the ball into the net. (3-1)
Midfielder Azmal Hossain Bidduit netted second
goal for Soccer in the 90th minute from a penalty. Defender Tapu
broght down Soccer's substitute forward Sayed Rashid Torza in the middle of the box and
referee Mizanur Rahman whistled for penalty. Bidduit converted the spot kick.

Mohammedan took their tally to 32 points played
17 matches while Soccer Club remained their previous earning of 11 points also
played 17 matches.
