De Kruif eyes positive football in Asiad
Dhaka, September 7: Bangladesh will be playing positive football and is ready to make its mark in the Asian Games football.
Dutch head coach Lodewijk de Kruif expressed the desire in a press conference at the BFF House on Sunday
“If you talk about the target, there is always dream of collecting points. But the our first target is to have a well organized team with good game plan and with good technical behaviours against the opponents and if the boys can stick to the plan in 90 minutes, I am sure we can collect some points there. The team is ready to collect points and the team know how to play,” said Dutch coach Lodewijk de Kruif.
Bangladesh had never crossed the hurdles of the second round in the Asian Games and have only two wins over Nepal and Philippines out of 19 matches they played so far. “I am happy after five weeks preparation but we are in tough group comprising Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong who are higher ranked sides in FIFA and Asia. But you go there not to lose; you go there because it is a challenge; you go there because you have a target and in every game you can win three points because it is football. I want the boys who are traveling to Korea to be highly motivated for the country."
