Stage Ready for AFC U-16 Women's Qualifiers
Dhaka, October 13: The stage is set for the kick-off of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers group B at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from Wednesday.
In the official press conference of the tournament at the BFF House on Tuesday Iran,India and Jordan set their eyes on winning the group while UAE and hosts Bangladesh expressed their will to put a gallant show.
Manar Mustafa Ahmad Fraij, the coach of Jordan was in a confident mood. “We will be fighting to win the top spot, my players are ready and they have adapted with the conditions” said Manar.
Maymol Rocky, the Indian coach thought the familiar conditions will inspire the team. “We are ready to take the field to clinch the chasmpionship, it wint be easy but we are ready to fight it out” said Rocky.
Shadi Mahini, the Iranian coach was taking nothing for granted. “Iran is firmloy focused towards the title but the plyers know they have to put the best to get past the challenges, Iran will be playing to win the title” said Mahini.
Samir al Andaluse, the UAE focused on the future. “We are in the path of improvement and we want to gain valuable experience for the next U-17 World Cup, we will try our best to put a good show” said Samir.
Golam Rabbani Choton, the Bangladesh coach thought it is the time to to show the improvement. “Against the stronger teams we are determined to show our worth as a developing and improving team, Bangladesh will play positive football” said Choton.
Iran will meet UAE in the inaugural match at 2:00 pm while Jordan will take on hosts Bangladesh in the second match at 5:00 pm. Channel 9 will be transmitting the matches live.
