BD upbeat facing SL
Dhaka, October 23: Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in the first of two
match SS Steel FIFA International Friendly series at 3:15 pm at the Shamsul Huda Stadium, Jessore
on Friday.
Both teams promised to play good and competitive football and also hoped
to secure a win with describing each
other as a hard opponent.
Bangladesh team captain Mamunul Islam poured respect upon the opponent
team. “We have heard Sri Lanka forming with young talented boys. They are well
trained and will play good football." Said Mamun in a press conference was held
at Jessore Stadium.
But Mamunul has confident on his boys to play good football. “Jessore
is our home ground. We have huge supporters there. They will inspire us to play
good football. Hope we will win with a perfect teamwork”.
Sri Lankan Captain Sanjia also has shown respect to Bangladesh and
promised to play good football. “We cannot under-estimate Bangladesh. It is
very hard to play against home team. But we are habituated to play every
condition. And we hope to present a good football in Jessore." Said the Lankan captain.
Till now Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have played 12 matches each other.
Bangladesh won 8 matches, lost 3 and drew one.
