BD beat Maldives, reach semis
Dhaka, November 17: Bangladesh returned to the winning ways beating Maldives 3-1 in the 3rd SAFF Women's Championship at the Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan on Monday.
Maynu Marma put Bangladesh ahead in the 18th minute and Sabina Khatun doubled the lead in the 35th minute. Sabina Khatun sealed the victory scoring her second goal in the 87th minute.
Aishath Sama netted the consolation goal for Maldives in the injury time of the match.
Bangladeshi women will play against Nepal in the semi-final on November 19.
Earlier, two times champion India defeated Afghanistan 12-0 to reach the semis where they will meet Sri Lanka on November 19.
