Singapore hold Bahrain
Dhaka,
February 01: Bahrain was held to a goalless draw by Singapore in the group B
match of Bangabandhu Gold Cup at the Bangabandhu Stadium on Sunday.

RHAMA Marhoon went pass the Singapore defence in the 17th minute but
hit the ball wide of the side post.
In the 20th
minute Bahrain forward Ateeq Mubarak saw his left footed shot went over the
cross piece.
Forward
Taufik Bin Suparna of Singapore saw his header from a corner of Iqram Rafiq was
cleared by Bahrain goalkeeper Mahbob Yahya in the 55th minute.
In the 60th
minute Singapore had a chance to take the lead but defender Shahrin Bin Saberin’s
header was saved by Bahrain goalkeeper Mahbob Yahya diving to the right from a
corner of Iqram Rafiq from the right flag.
Midfielder Mahroon
unleased a fear shot that sleep off the gloves of Singapore goalie MZ Bin
Rohaized and defender R Aravin cleared the ball from the goalline.
In the injury time Bahrain missed their best opportunity move ahead
but forward Saleh Abdullah Janahi’s shot was saved by Singapore defender and Bahrain
midfielder Ali Almalood took shot on rebound but it was also saved by Singapore
defender.
