Malaysia-Singapore ready to fight in the semis
Dhaka, February 4: Malaysia lock horns with Singapore in the first semifinal of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup at the Sylhet stadium on Thursday. Ahead of the crucial clash both the coaches expressed confidence of winning the fight.
Malaysia Coach Rajip Ismail
We are not taking our opponents lightly. We respect them because Singapore are familiar with our game. We are very close to each other, we understand their players and we understand their game. I think it is going to be difficult for both teams also. I hope we can produce a good performance and enter final. We beat them in Brunei friendly tournament,aAfter that we beat them again in Vietnam.
Singapore coach Richard Bok
I think I achieved my target. The objective for this team to be here is to compete and for me to select 10 or 12 players for the Olympic squad in March. The players worked hard and moved to the seimfinals and I give credit to the boys. Hopefully we will give another good fight to Malaysia. This team is different than the last time we met them. They are technically a good team.
