Curtain falls on Group E Qualifiers on Tuesday
Dhaka, March 30: Bangladesh and India play the last match of the AFC U-23 group E Qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
After two matches Syria and Uzbekistan has six points in their account while India and Bangladesh, the hosts are yet to open their account losing all the two matches they have played.
However, both Bangladesh and India expressed their hope of winning the match.“We are ready because we have to. They (players) want to have a revenge. We were unfortunate against India few times in the last two years. We had to win two times but at the end of the game it was draw conceding in the dying minutes all the time. There is something inside that makes it important game” said de Kruif.
India head coach Savio Medeira vowed to put all out efforts. “ After playing two tough matches my boys are ready mentally and physically and we will go for a win,conceding goals due to mistakes is not going to matter tomorrow when the game kicks off. Bangladesh will go all out, home match, home crowd. So we have to be focused more.”said Medeira.
Bangladesh skipper Raihan Hasan and Indian defender Shankar Sampingiraj will miss the match due to suspension.
In the first match of the day Syria and Uzbekistan will lock horns to get a ticket of the final round at 3:00 pm.
