17, 2015: Brothers Union Limited tasted their first win in the Manyavar
Bangladesh Premier League beating Fasashganj Sporting Club 3-1 at the
Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Defender Samuel
Adam Jankasa put the Brothers ahead in the 50th minute. Nigerian
forward Kester Akon curved a free kick in the middle of the box where unmarked
Jankasa headed the ball into the net. (1-0)
Haitian
forward Augustin Walson doubled the lead in the 55th minute. The
Haitian forward received a lobbed pass from Jankasa and placed the ball into
the net past Farashganj keeper Sujan Chowdhury. (2-0)
Farashganj pulled
one back in the 79th minute through Nigerian midfielder Akinyele Peter who
headed home on a cross of Shahinur Rahman. (2-1)
Jankasa
netted his second of the day to seal the victory in the 85th minute when
the Nigerian sent the ball into the net on a pass from Walson. (3-1)
After this triumph,
Brothers took their tally to 4 points from 3 matches while Fasashganj still remained
without point.
