Muslim Friends Society edged past Team
BJMC 1-0 in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National
Stadium on Wednesday.
In the 34th minute Team
BJMC was reduced to 10 men when their defender Redwad Bin Rakin was sent off
showing direct red card by referee after the defender tackled down Rahmatganj Nigerian forward Gideon
Solomon from behind.
Rahmatganj were close to take lead in the 35th minute when their forward Nurul Abser’s free kick was punched away by Team BJMC goalie
Arifuzzaman Himel.
Md. Arafat broke the deadlock for
Rahmatganj in the first half injury time. Defender Sawkat Rasel sent a throw in
the middle of the box where willy forward Arafat who headed the ball into the
far post. (1-0)
BJMC had a chance to level the score
but forward Nabib Newaj Jibon placing shot was cleared by Rahmatganj defender Mosa
Amadi from the goalline in the 49th minute.
With this win, Rahmatganj earned 8
points from 7 matches while Team BJMC remained with 1 point from 7 matches.
