Brothers draw with BJMC
Dhaka, June 29, 2015:
Brothers Union and Team BJMC played out a 2-2 draw in the second phase of the
Manyvar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on
Monday.
Brothers Union’s wily
forward Augustime Walson put his team ahead in the 7th minute as the Nigerian’s
tricky placing on a cross of compatriot Kester Akon landed into the far post
net (1-0)
BJMC equalized in the
25th minute with midfielder Abdullah Parvez sending a cracking left footer from
the top of the box, Brothers goalie Biplob Bhatttacharjee dived to his left but
failed to grip the ball, unmarked Eleta Kingsley tapped the ball home (1-1)
Augustine Walson
however let his team down in the 32nd minute when he fired the ball over the
crosspiece from the spot. The penalty was awarded as Abdullah Parvez brought
Brothers midfielder EmrulHasan Emu down in the danger zone.
But Walson made his
amendment. In the 62nd minute Walson breezed into the BJMC defence dribbled
past three defenders and cut an in-swinging rightfooter into the far post (2-1)
Nigerian midfielder Samson
Illiasu equalized match in the injury time with a placing shot on a cross of
Elita Kingsley.
Brothers Union have
21 points from 11 matches while BJMC have nine points from the same number of
matches.
