Dhaka, July 4, 2015: Mohammedan
Sporting Club registered a 2-1 win over Team BJMC after staging of comeback in
the Manayavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on
Saturday.
Team BJMC could have taken the lead
when forward Zakir Hossain Ziku’s shot was saved by Mohammedan goalie Ashraful Haque Rana
diving to the right in the 33rd minute.
In the 45th minute BJMC's Nigerian forward Elita
Kingsly saw his shot go straight to the Mohammedan goalie Rana.
However, Nigerian forward Eltata
Kingsley brock the dead lock for Team BJMC. Another Nigerian Samson Illiasu
sent a through pass to Kingsley who placed the ball into the far post. (1-0)
BJMC had a chance to extend the lead in the 67th
minute but forward Nabib Nawaz Jibon’s shot was saved by Mohammedan goalie
Ashaful Haque Rana diving to the right.
Mohammedan equalized the scoreline
through their Guinean forward Ismael Bangoura in the 79th minute.
Winger Jewel Rana curved a cross to the Bangoura whose header hit down the
cross bar and went into the net off back of goalkeeper Himel (1-1).
Jewel Rana put Mohammedan ahead in
the 87th minute. Cameroonian midfielder Kalinga Amabara curved a
corner from the left into the box and Jewel rana who headed the ball into the
net. (2-1)
With this draw Mohammedan has 26
points from 12 matches while Team BJMC has 9 points from 12 matches.
