Brothers beat Farashganj
Dhaka, July 7, 2015:
Brothers Union Limited beat Farashganj Sporting Club 3-1 in the 2nd
leg of Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium
on Tuesday.
Kester Akon put
Brothers Union ahead in the 6th minute. Haitian forward Augustin
Walson cutback from left and Adams Jankasa’s miscued shot fell in front of Nigerian
forward Kester who placed the ball into the net. (1-0)
Brothers doubled the
lead through an own goal of Farashagnj in the 11 minute. The tall Haitian
forward took a shot from the box and Fashagnj defender Mostafizur Rahman Saikat
struck his own net. (2-0)
Farashganj gave one
goal back in the 23rd minute. Brothers’ defender Rashed Alam Moni
brought down Farashganj Nigerian midfielder Uche Felix in the box and referee
whistled for penalty. Nigerian forward Akinyele Peter converted the spot kick.

Augustin Walson extended
the lead of Brothers in the injury time of first half through. Taking a ball
from the out of the box the Haitian moved forward and entered into box and dodged
past on rushing Farashganj goalie Sujan Chowdhury and placed the ball into the
far post. (3-1)
Brothers was reduced
to ten men in the 55th minute when their forward Augustin Walson was
sent off showing direct red card by referee.
With this win,
Brothers earned 24 points from 13 matches while Farashganij remained with 4
points from 12 matches.
